Building an Effective Competitive Intelligence System for XXX Corporation

This diploma thesis results from the need for Competitive Intelligence as a system for gathering, analyzing and communicating information about competitors to obtain a competitive advantage. The work attempts to analyze current knowledge gathering processes as well as an application of that information for strategic decision making inside the XXX corporation. After definition of basic terms several different methods and approaches to Competitive Intelligence are described. These methods are reviewed and those that suit XXX requirements best are picked up afterwards. In this thesis there are also identified some of the crucial information sources, to begin with public and commercial databases and catalogues, business publications, online sources, personal knowledge, but also data-mining and other sophisticated methods. The main contribution of this work is the proposal of Competitive Intelligence system itself, empathising an effective functionality that solves identified issues, and is based on our theoretical resources and on actual competence of the company.
Testing of Recognizing Spatial Intelligence

This thesis deals with measurement issues in psychology, specifically online diagnostics of spatial abilities. It gives a brief look on psychological construct of intelligence and methods of measuring it, currently in the context of the most spread theory of intelligence C-H-C (Cattell- Horn-Carroll). This thesis focuses on ability called „Visualization“, that is understood as the ability to process visual perceptions and manipulate them in our imagination. The thesis includes functional software, which is made for online computer testing of spatial abilities in children of preschool, or school age.
Image similarity measuring using deep learning

This master´s thesis deals with the reseach of technologies using deep learning method, being able to use when processing image data. Specific focus of the work is to evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of deep learning when comparing two image input data. The first – theoretical – part consists of the introduction to neural networks and deep learning. Also, it contains a description of available methods, their benefits and principles, used for processing image data. The second - practical - part of the thesis contains a proposal a appropriate model of Siamese networks to solve the problem of comparing two input image data and evaluating their similarity. The output of this work is an evaluation of several possible model configurations and highlighting the best-performing model parameters.
Intelligent document

This diploma thesis, interested in intelligent documents, covers, in its introductory chapters, the basic problematics of inteligent documents. The major part of major part of these theorethical chapters is devoted to the analysis of possible practical applications of certain parts of knowledge management. The second part of the thesis, focused more on a practical usage of intelligent documents, includes the proposition of the actual structure and the realization of the specific intelligent document. This part also includes the evaluation and the examples of the differences between an ordinary electronic document and an intelligent document. The conclusion of the practical part of the thesis is the summary of all the findings concerning the practical implementation of an intelligent document and the evaluation of possible applications, extension possibilities and changes of such intelligent document.
Current methods of measuring cognitive abilities

The aim of this thesis is to present a selection of cognitive ability measurement methods for adults, especially those that can be administered online. These methods are presented in the context of cognitive ability composition concepts on which they are based. The chosen methods include several IQ tests and various online cognitive performance measurement methods. IQ tests represent measures of general intelligence. The IQ tests mentioned in this study are administered individually or in group settings. The online methods have a narrower focus and are mentioned in conjunction with the platforms that offer these methods. The selection of online methods was based on their prevalence in the literature, with an emphasis on the more common ones, in order to collectively cover a broader range of cognitive abilities. The reliability and validity of the methods are discussed.
Conceptualization of the recruitment and selection process from the perspective of recruiters and the use of psychometric and psychological tools

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to highlight the individual conceptualization of the recruitment process and the various psychological insights, methods and tools that are used by human resource practitioners in a recruitment agency. The theoretical part includes the introduction of selected methods of contemporary recruitment (hiring) and the theoretical use of psychological knowledge in this process. The empirical part focuses on the conceptualization of the recruitment and selection process as well as the use of psychological tools and concepts in the daily activities of human resource workers in the environment of the selected recruitment agency. Particular attention will be paid to the use of psychological tools and concepts by recruiters with psychological and other backgrounds. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the recruitment process (and candidate assessment) is perceived by individual recruiters and what differences exist in the process of candidate assessment with regard to the procedures and knowledge that are used in the specific practice of recruiters and how their use varies according to education, length of experience and how their validity (effectiveness) is subjectively assessed. The study focuses on the problem of the gifted children at primary school. The study is composed of two parts - the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part of the study focuses on explaining basic terminology related to the talent, characterize the gifted pupil, shows the typology of gifted children and possibilities of identification the talent. The first part also presents models of talent and the basic forms of talent. It introduces possibilities and rules of working with talented children in the younger school age and provides basic information about current legislation connected to the education of talented children. The first part of the study also focuses on the support of talented children not only during their education. The practical part of the study is related to the questionnaire survey about educational conditions of gifted pupils on primary schools.

The diploma thesis deals with the Nicola tesla Center learning system that develops exceptionally gifted children. The aim od the thesis is to find out to what extent the NTC learning system stimulates the development of a gifted pupil already in preschool age and the possibilities of supporting and exceptionally gifted pupil in primary education. The theoretical part of třhe work describes intelligence, talent and the NTC system itself. The empirical part consists of two stages. The first stage describes the process of education in kindergarten and work with the NTC learning system and identifies in the process of developing talents in children using the system. The methodology of the NTC learning system is used on the kindergarten in the creation of the school educational program and is practically used with the help of individual activities. NTC learning system activities are included in the daily program. The second stage describes how preschool education took place in the monitored children with focus on manifestations of giftedness, whether there were adjustments to preschool education with regard to giftedness. Status and activities of the intelligence services in the Czech Republic (legal aspects) My master's degree thesis attempts to analyse the status and activities of the intelligence services in the Czech Republic. Nowadays the importance of the intelligence services is steadily growing worldwide because of bigger threat of terrorists' attacks and worsening security situation in certain regions in the world. Czech intelligence services must adapt to this situation and that's why I started to investigate particular Czech legislation. I started to examine whether the Czech intelligence services are given necessary powers to fulfil their lawful duties, who governs and coordinates their activities, who controls them etc. All these questions are described and answered in the thesis. The thesis is composed of five chapters, each of them deals with different aspects of the status and activities of the intelligence services. Chapter one is more or less general, subsequent chapters are rather focused on Czech intelligence services. The first chapter is introductory.
